Late '800
Where everything begins
The attention to our territory began far away at the end of the 19th century in Vazzola (Treviso), a small village not far from the Relais.
Here our great-grandfather Luigi decided to enhance a product of our land: the grape.
The great-grandfather and later the grandfather Pietro, already in a perspective of “reuse”, worked the marc, then waste product, to produce grappa and liqueurs that they sold throughout the Triveneto and in the best restaurants in the area.
Mid '900
Da Duilio
Where today stands the Relais, in the middle of the last century, opened the restaurant called “Le betulle” managed by Duilio Collot and his family from Conegliano, typical dish even then the risotto with Prosecco and tartare of meat combined with excellent local wines.

The birth of the Relais

The Relais opens its doors on February 20, 2004 under the direction of our mother Carmen who, with her exquisitely Venetian hospitality
has been hosting meetings and dinners of historical cultural and social associations of the area since its opening…

A tradition that continues
The attention to the territory in which we live also leads us to take care of it, by cultivating.
Our brother Francesco, a young farmer, personally takes care of the cultivation of grapes through the Integrated Defense system with a strong reduction of environmental impact, using advanced equipment and mechanical weed control.
The types of grapes harvested are many: Glera, Pinot grigio, black and white, Chardonay, Merlot and Cabernet. These will give life to many wines such as the famous Prosecco. These will give life to numerous wines, like the famous Prosecco.
2018
Italian Association Sommelier's class
The Italian Association Sommelier del Veneto was born to promote the knowledge of wine through the traning of professionals who relate the culture of wine with the local gastronomic traditions.
These are the sommelier, real qualified witnesses of wine tasting, of the territory, of the tradition.
In fact, wine is not simply a drink but tells the story of man and the passion for the territory.
2019
Unesco recognition of the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene and Ais headquarters
In July 2019, the hills that surround us, namely the “Prosecco Hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene”, have been included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
2021-2023
Restyling
We tried to take advantage of an unfavorable situation for the hospitality sector, due to the COVID-19 emergency, making it positive by starting structural renovation work on the Relais:
- changes in room furnishings, upholstery and wallpaper
- restyling of some junior suites which become SpaRooms: rooms with a real spa inside them
- new bathrooms in many rooms
2024
If everything starts with one step, we can say that we have already started the journey towards sustainability and to making our structure as “green” as possible.
We here at the Relais are committed to being part of this positive change through the actions we undertake every day. As a structure we consciously work to reduce environmental impact with ever greater commitment by offering a wide range of sustainable and cutting-edge solutions. Since 2012 (the year the photovoltaic system was installed) every innovation we introduce into the structure has been consciously evaluated with a view to environmental sustainability.
Energy saving The most impactful actions we have undertaken to make our accommodation facility sustainable concern these areas: heating, electricity, water consumption.
As for electricity, the key is to self-power the structure as much as possible, through the installation of photovoltaic panels that allow us to use clean energy that does not pollute. In addition to self-production of energy, the use of presence sensors allows intelligent management of light and other devices by automatically turning off when guests are not in the rooms. Furthermore, the installation of high-performance, low-consumption LEDs in the common areas of the conference rooms and corridors, together with the installation of new street lights in the car park, represented a further improvement in terms of the overall energy performance index of the Relais. The same is also true for heating and air conditioning: the use of cutting-edge management software allows further energy savings thanks to the management of the heating/air conditioning which can be operated individually in each room.
Our facility is also equipped with a water saving system. For years, for every improvement that is made, we have opted for biocompatible materials to minimize the environmental impact. During their stay at the property, guests with electric vehicles can count on the convenience of a charging station.
We pay great attention to the offer of Km 0 dishes directly from our territory and to the proposal of green experiences in the heritage of the UNESCO hills of which we are part, enhancing the theme of food and wine tourism of the Treviso area. These are some of the eco-sustainable measures that we use here at the Relais, which offer our guests an unforgettable and natural experience of eco-responsibility.
